Sherry Huss

Freeman, Innovator-in-Residence and Head of Community

Sherry Huss is a dynamic and accomplished professional with a passion for innovation and community building. As the current head of community at Freeman, she leverages her extensive experience in the event industry to drive innovation and create memorable experiences inside the company, outside the company and inside-out, including driving Freeman’s NextGen talent initiative. Before joining Freeman full time, Huss served as their innovator-in-residence, where she used her creativity and expertise to drive growth and development for the company.

Huss co-founded Maker Faire, a global network of events celebrating innovation and creativity in the maker community, and played a key role in launching tech company developer conferences such as JavaOne. In addition to her work in the tech and event industries, Huss serves on the board of Sonoma Family Meal and is an advisor to The Virtual Events Group and The Future Food Institute. She is co-creator of Decameron Row and Maker Music Festival.

Her involvement in the education, technology, making, and food communities highlights her dedication to creating meaningful connections and empowering people to bring their ideas to life.
