Valeria Sosa is an accomplished broadcast engineer with a focus on advanced IP broadcast technology. Some of her career highlights are from her time at FOX Corporation, where she spearheaded the deployment and launch of ST 2110 UHD and HDR workflows for major sporting events at the FOX Tech Center, earning a Sports Emmy for her work on the FIFA World Cup 2022. Before joining FOX, Sosa worked as a broadcast operations engineer for MLB, supporting the league through the 2020 baseball season.
Passionate about inclusion and diversity, Sosa has held leadership roles with The WICT Network and various ERGs, championing the interests of Latinos, women, and people of color in media, entertainment, and technology. She also mentors aspiring female broadcast engineers.
Currently, Sosa is a broadcast engineer at Netflix, working in the Live Broadcast Technology division where she focuses on the broadcast infrastructure for the future of global live streaming sports on the platform.
