John’s early background is as an Audio Engineer. Initially working as a studio musician, he quickly gravitated towards production and spent over ten years working as a studio recording and mix engineer. John recorded music as well as dialogue for advertising, audiobooks, and film. He also served a variety of roles in live events as a remote recording engineer as well as a front-of-house and monitor mixer.

For the past 8 years he has been with ASG. As the Production Operations Manager onsite at Google, he managed the full-time team of event operators including Directors,
Stage Managers, Audio operators, Camera operators, and Multisource technicians. He was responsible for the crewing of all events, matching the proper talent with each event’s needs. He also operated as an audio engineer and event tech.

He is now happy to sit with ASG’s Sales team as an Account Executive, working with every variety of clients to fulfill their needs. In his spare time, he designs and builds
tube audio amplifiers, walks his dog, and surfs the beaches of Santa Cruz.
