How corporate video departments are keeping pace with demand for more content – particularly live content – now that there are tighter deadlines and smaller, multifunctional crews will be explored by industry experts during the Studio Production & Post Track panel session “Accelerating Video Workflows: More Content for Less!” at the second annual Silicon Valley Video Summit (SVVS), Jan. 23.

The panel will be moderated by post production specialist Ray Tarara, a freelance video editor who worked for Advanced Systems Group for nearly four years, first as video editor, then later, as post production manager. Afterwards he worked at Google for five years as studio operations lead, overseeing production and post-production for one of Google’s largest internal video teams. In 2023, he left Google to pursue work as an independent contractor.

Tarara said the panel is looking to touch on topics including: how production companies are empowering their crews to take on multi-functional roles; ways in which their organizations have adapted to higher demand for content, often with lower budgets than before; how they are addressing these and other challenges; how to ensure that the sector continues to deliver high quality and impactful video under pressure.

Panelists will include Jeff Eggleston, Dreamtek director of studio productions and director of account management, West Coast; Todd Mason, Broadcast Management Group CEO; Malek Pallie, global technical operations manager for FIRST at Google; Michael Skinner, Electronic Arts (EA) senior post production supervisor; and Michel Suissa, The Studio – B&H managing director.

Eggleston has more than 15 years of experience in reality and docu-series TV.

In 2022, Mason was the broadcast director for all ten January 6th hearings and built the BMG Cloud Control Center that has enabled the company to access the best production talent from anywhere in the world.

Pallie served as FIRST’s global technical operations manager on the Alphabet account, leading a team of systems engineers who oversaw a complex network of production spaces and broadcast studios across the Americas, EMEA and APAC.

In his current role at EA, Skinner oversees competitive gaming post-production for several esports titles. During his career, he developed and implemented cloud-based workflows and media management systems for several brands.

As the managing director of The Studio division of retailer B&H, Suissa has led the development of high-end solutions for the professional media industry.
