Allan McLennan is president, c.g.a of 2G Digital, an established and proven 29-year post-post production boutique in Burbank, CA that provides the critical last mile for audience content engagement by providing foreign language localization, content optimization, platform provisioning, and final quality control for studios, broadcasters, and MVPD’s whether linear, VOD, LIVE, or FAST worldwide. He brings to the table over three decades of evolved leadership and success across global IP entertainment. McLennan was the founder of a leading consulting/analyst group; president (NASDAQ) data leader; international head of M&E; EVP of television platform technology; co-creator of one of the first streaming services; and co-producer of an Emmy submitted television series.
McLennan’s work has placed him at Fortune 500 companies, mid-size corporations, startup companies, studios, and with broadcasters ($10m/$500m/$20+B+) where he has provided extensive M&E technology and executive intelligence. He created a global network gained through deploying offerings on five continents and in 17 countries providing services to over a billion households and devices through technology providers, studios, broadcasters, and advertisers worldwide. These included Ericsson, Microsoft, Siemens, Rentrak, Spielberg, Apple, Comcast, Deluxe, Dreamworks, BBC, SKY, ProSiebensat, Globecast, Disney, Rai, etc. McLennan currently works with studios such as Sony, Disney, Paramount, Pluto, UNBC, and more.
He holds an M.B.A. in international strategy (team/behavioral economics). McLennan is a global speaker on media ecology; a guest lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business; co-author of the book, Authority, which rose to the position of #4 on the WSJ Best Sellers list; co-creator of five foundational patents for targeted advertising/personalization; a contributing member of SMPTE, ATAS, and PGA; and on the Board of Directors for IET, Greening of Streaming, and CEI.
