Deon LeCointe is the director of networked solutions at Sony Electronics’ Imaging Products & Solutions – Americas. He oversees Sony’s live production product portfolio and works with television networks and broadcasters to design and build equipment that delivers live content to millions of homes around the world. LeCointe’s team is comprised of product managers, solution architects, sales engineers, and service personnel that are responsible for the development, sales, and marketing of products designed for news, sports, and entertainment.

LeCointe has spent years on the frontlines working to drive the adoption of media over IP technologies for broadcast and production and has contributed to numerous whitepapers on the benefits of IP technology live production and contribution. He has led the implementation of IP-based infrastructure, cameras, and switchers at notable installations including CNN Hudson Yards in New York and NFL Network in Los Angeles.

LeCointe graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering; he was tapped as a member of Iron Arrow, the highest attainable honor. LeCointe is also a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), co-founder of Sony Electronics’ Black Employee Network, and a NYC TV Week 40 Under 40 honoree.
