Senior Broadcast Engineer

Megan Kappus is a senior broadcast engineer at Pac-12 Networks. She leads a small team of engineers to complete 850 live events a season, while maintaining nine control rooms and one studio. Most recently at Pac-12 Networks, Kappus played a significant role on the team that built out the brand-new SMPTE ST 2110 facility.

Prior to the Pac-12, originally from Arizona, Kappus started engineering at ASU Walter Cronkite and AZPBS while she was still a student at Cronkite. During her time there, they rolled out PBS NewsHour West. Outside of engineering, she worked in several production positions for NewsHour West and local AZPBS shows. During her seven years in the industry, she has been involved in a few major projects which have been instrumental in improving her skill set.
