Michael Vovk

Michael Vovk is a media and entertainment managing director with over 25 years of experience in leading numerous IT transformation projects in the media entertainment space. Prior to Deloitte, Vovk has many years of experience heading up Global Enterprise IT for some of the largest U.S.-based media entertainment and broadcast corporations. He is a technical expert in compute, storage, networking, and enterprise technology; and has led projects ranging from $1M to $200M in size and scale across the globe with teams in the hundreds.

Vovk has built teams to deliver and operate very large IT projects that include DEVOPS, cyber, cloud, and data management components in the media and broadcast space. In addition, he has led the Telecom Media and Entertainment Cloud practice for Deloitte covering all three major public cloud offerings (GCP, AWS, Azure) delivering next generation technical capabilities for a variety of customers in this space.

Most recently, Vovk has delivered the transition of a large scale regional sports network through M&A activity and transformed the delivery of the technology to increase efficiency and simplicity in operations. He is relied on to QA each deliverable, ensuring quality and operational rigor with an eye to the business to ensure fit interoperability and supportability. Vovk’s experience across many technology domains gives him the peripheral vision to ensure quality delivery.

Having delivered multiyear projects and spent over two decades in IT operations, Vovk is relied on to foresee delivery risk and quality issues early in the process across many projects. He also has a great deal of experience in strategy and IT contract management which rounds out delivery and execution.
