Under Mason’s leadership, BMG has made numerous groundbreaking initiatives, including creating the first private cloud broadcast facility in 2021. This state-of-the-art facility utilizes proprietary processes for decentralized production teams leveraging centralized technology. Additionally, Mason led the rollout of a fleet of REMI mobile units, which have expanded BMG’s production capabilities and flexibility. Today, BMG stands as the leading sports packager for REMI sporting events nationwide, with broadcasters, teams, and conferences leveraging BMG’s priority workflow. This innovative approach enables high-quality, large-scale REMI productions with the lowest latency, supported by decentralized production teams leveraging BMG’s centralized technology and fleet of purpose-built REMI mobile units.
Mason’s forward-thinking approach led to the launch of Schwab Network, the first full-time corporate over-the-top (OTT) news channel, in 2018, marking a significant milestone in enterprise video. BMG continues working with numerous corporate and government clients, designing and building advanced broadcast facilities tailored to their unique requirements, leveraging BMG Cloud Control Center.
Looking ahead, Mason and BMG are set to establish the first cloud network operations center (NOC) in Washington, D.C., specifically designed for managed services by 2025. This 1080P/HRD, 4K-ready facility will enable clients to streamline their operations, significantly lowering capital and labor costs while aligning technology and staffing with business demands. The NOC will offer multiple video and audio control rooms, studios, master control, media asset management, and transmissions. Additionally, it will enhance BMG’s capacity to support live sports, entertainment, news, and corporate events, further solidifying Mason’s commitment to advancing the broadcast landscape.
